Installing and uninstalling applications

Uncom OS is a Russian operating system based on Linux. When creating Uncom OS, ubuntu was used as the basis. When installing applications from external sources into the operating system, you need to select files and applications intended for Linux and Ubuntu.

Install from App Store

Go to the App Store. Enter the name of the application in the search bar. Open the card of the found application. Click the install button and wait for the installation process to complete. After installation, the application can be launched directly from the store by clicking the “Launch” button or go to the “show applications” section (on the bottom panel of the screen) and launch the application by clicking on the corresponding icon.

Install applications downloaded from external sources

Download the deb package. The file is saved to the "Downloads" folder. Go to the folder. Right-click on the file and select the top menu bar “Open in Gdebi Package Installer”. Click “install” and wait for the installation process to complete.

Remove apps

Go to the App Store. Enter the name of the application in the search bar. Open the installed application card. Click the remove button and wait for the removal process to complete. Programs downloaded from external sources can be deleted by going to the folder where the downloaded package was saved. Right-click on the file. Select the top line "Open in Gdebi Package Installer". Click “Delete package” and wait for the removal process to complete.
